Volunteer Expectations

What to expect

  • A short conversation with our Volunteer Coordinator before your first shift
  • Clear expectations and support from an experienced team member
  • A Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required for any role involving direct contact with children
  • Respect for the values and etiquette of the Centre at all times

Do I need experience to volunteer?

Not at all — most roles just need reliability and willingness to help. We'll guide you through anything role-specific.

How much time is expected?

As much or as little as suits you — from a single event to an ongoing weekly commitment.

Can teenagers volunteer?
